Books-gloriousbooks has a new home!

saucybooks:

Once I move most of my stuff over, I will delete this one. I love book blogging, and decided to make a second account with my book blog as the main so I could answer asks and stuff.  Go follow the new one! <3

"Of course anyone who truly loves books buys more of them than he or she can hope to read in one fleeting lifetime. A good book, resting unopened in its slot on a shelf, full of majestic potentiality, is the most comforting sort of intellectual wallpaper." -
- ~David Quammen (via sanctuary-for-inkhearts)

"A bookworm can no more pass a bookstore than an alcoholic can pass a bar" - (via bibliophilebunny)

Why I Read

  •  I read because one life isn't enough, and in the page of a book I can be anybody;
  •  I read because the words that build the story become mine, to build my life;
  •  I read not for happy endings but for new beginnings; I'm just beginning myself, and I wouldn't mind a map;
  •  I read because I have friends who don't, and young though they are, they're beginning to run out of material;
  •  I read because every journey begins at the library, and it's time for me to start packing;
  •  I read because one of these days I'm going to get out of this town, and I'm going to go everywhere and meet everybody, and I want to be ready.

"You don’t have to burn books to destroy a culture. Just get people to stop reading them." - Ray Bradbury (via observando)

"She’s in her book world." - My mother, when my younger self was too engrossed in a book to realize when someone was trying to talk to me. (via becauseliteraturethatswhy)
